Presented at BYOX, under REINVENTION as part of Singapore Design Week 2025.
Body As Operiere explores the tension between control and collapse, where emotional reinvention unfolds through touch.
At the core of this experience is a metal locket—part vessel, part operator—serving as a fragile interface between our visitor and the machine. When held, it completes an intimate circuit: fragments of a digital heart stir, pulse, and reassemble in projected space.
If the visitor's touch lingers for too long, the digital reconstruction falters. The heart disassembles, echoing the cyclical labor of healing and undoing.
In this delicate loop of holding on and letting go, Body As Operiere frames vulnerability not as a flaw, but as an active process of becoming.
