About
Jabez recently exhibited at REINVENTION @ Singapore Design Week 2025 (11 Sep - 21 Sep)
Jabez Lim (b. 2005) is a new media artist based in Singapore. He works with interactive installations, generative visuals, and experimental motion, investigating how the body, emotion, and digital systems intersect. His practice combines visual design with tools such as TouchDesigner, Arduino, and real-time data, creating experiences that highlight rhythm, presence, and the fluid exchange between physical and digital environments. He was trained in Visual Communication at Nanyang Polytechnic’s School of Design & Media, a background that informs his approach to composition, typography, and spatial design within interactive systems.
Jabez’s works have been presented in institutional, independent, and festival contexts, including National Gallery Singapore, community-driven art events, and design week showcases. His projects often seek to reframe technology as a medium for reflection rather than distraction, transforming code and computation into spaces for contemplation and encounter.
Beyond exhibitions, his practice extends into prototyping, research, and collaborative design processes. He is interested in how digital art can cross into public, participatory, and educational spaces, shaping new ways of engaging audiences through interactive systems.
